Having a
positive support system ups your chances of losing weight by more than 50%. So lets support each other. It can be a recipe, questions to everyone, how you are feeling, a workout you love, the fact that you ate the right food that day, anything you want it to be. There are days for everyone of us that we feel like we failed. We need to be the "pick me up" for each other.
In an effort to prove this is NOT A DIET, we are just eating right. I came up with this for my family:
ReplyDeleteSloppy Joe's
2 lbs. Lean ground beef(93%)
1/2 cup onion
1/2 cup green bell pepper
1/4 tsp chili powder
1 15oz can tomato sauce
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Brown meat. Add onion and bell pepper, cook til softened. Add rest of ingredients. Simmer 10 min. (If I added it all correctly) 108 calories per 1/2 cup. serve on hamburger bun or bread.
We also had a side of asparagus with it and used butter spray(0 Cal) My kids added cheese but picked out the bell pepper. I had an open face bun with meat on both sides and no cheese.
My kids ate it! And I liked it too.
You are right it is not a "diet" it is making healthy choices for the rest of your life. You are doing a great job on being a good example to your kids too!!! They will remember this!
DeleteThis is Angie. I'm keeping positive that even though I didn't lose any weight yet, if I keep doing what I'm doing, it will come off. Im eating good and exercising, no sugar and lots of water. My challenge I think is dinner time. Some things are easy to figure, but casseroles etc. are not. I have been making sure I have plenty of calories left and only eat a small portion of casserole. Maybe I shouldn't be so lazy and sit down and calculate calories for each ingredient. But I'm sure I'm not going over. Anyway, I will keep doing as good as I can and hopefully will start seeing results soon. I'm lucky too, my husband keeps encouraging me and saying how well I'm doing. Yea!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great! It is really hard to know calorie count as far as casseroles go but do your best and like you said just eat 1 helping. Give your husband a gold star for being a great cheerleader for you. They can make all the difference! Keep up the good work!
